Sweetheart...we could share a storybook romance!

Ok. I'm really digging in the crates this time. DJ Losojosnuevos (one of my alter egos) has found a gem. I have not been able to get this song out of my mind for over a month. Many of you may remember that Mariah Carey and JD remade the song in the 90s, proof that imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Try as I might, I could not find the original video. I did my best. Enjoy

THE MELODY IS VAGUELY FAMILIAR, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY SPECIFIC MEMORIES OF THIS SONG.

I LIKE IT, NONETHELESS.

BUT J, THE MORE I HEAR THE CHOICE OF MUSIC YOU LIKE, THE MORE I REALISE THAT I HAD A WRONG IMPRESSION OF YOU. YOU TOTALLY SUPRISE ME.

BUT LITTLE BY LITTLE, I'M GETTING A PICTURE OF WHO YOU ARE.

What surprises you, darling?

PROMISE YOU WON'T GET MAD?

I'M GETTING A PICTURE OF SOMEONE VERY INTERESTING, VERY ENGAGING, AND FUN TO BE AROUND (WHEN THE MOOD TAKES HIM?).

INITIALLY, I THOUGHT YOU WERE A VERY SERIOUS PERSON, AT A PUSH OF A BUTTON YOU WOULD TELL SOMEONE OFF, AN UNSMILING CHARACTER. SOMEONE VERY INTIMIDATING. IMPATIENT & ONLY INTERESTED IN SERIOUS CONVERSATION.

I should have known that Mariah's version wasn't the original...

Shallotte: I can be a very complex person at times. I do enjoy serious dialogue, but I love to cut up as well. My attitude is stable for the most part, as long as I do not become overly annoyed with a person. I'm learning to be more patient and tolerant. I can be intimidating at times.

Gayte-keeper: Very little music made after the 80s is authentic. Sampling was almost a requirement in the 90s. It's sad many artists are not willing to define their own parameters.
